Any institution intending to conduct a Continuing Nursing Education (CNE) programme and seeking approval for the award of credit hours / credit points from the Council shall follow the procedure outlined below.
- SUBMISSION OF APPLICATION:
The institution shall submit a formal application to the Registrar of the Council, requesting permission to conduct the CNE programme and to award credit hours/credit points. The application must contain complete and accurate details of the proposed CNE.
The application shall specifically include the following details:
- Title / Topic and Objectives of the CNE programme
- Target audience and number of participants
- Venue of the programme and name of the organising institution
- Date(s) and total duration (number of days) of the programme
- Name and complete details of the Organising Chairperson and Organising Secretary, including:
- Full name
- Designation
- Institution / Organization
- Contact number
- Email address
- DETAILS OF RESOURCE PERSONS:
- Biodata of all proposed resource persons must be submitted along with recent passport-size photographs.
- At least one of the resource persons must be a qualified nurse.
- CERTIFICATE TEMPLATE:
- A sample/template of the participation certificate must be submitted with the application.
- The certificate shall bear the official logo of the Council (downloadable from the Council website).
- Adequate space for the signature of the Registrar must be provided on the certificate.
- PROGRAMME SCHEDULE AND REGISTRATION DETAILS:
- A detailed programme schedule must be submitted.
- Registration forms must be enclosed, clearly specifying the registration process and the registration fee, if applicable.
Upon receipt of the complete application, the Council shall scrutinize all submitted documents and details. Based on the scrutiny, the Council may grant permission to conduct the CNE programme and approve the applicable credit hours / credit points.
Nomination of Council Observer:
For approved CNE programmes, the Council shall nominate an Observer to attend the programme. The Observer shall submit a report to the Council upon completion of the CNE programme.
POST‑PROGRAMME SUBMISSION:
After successful completion of the approved CNE programme, the organising institution must submit a descriptive report to the Council within the prescribed time period.
The report shall include:
- Brief background and objectives of the CNE programme
- Details of sessions conducted and resource persons
- Number of participants attended
- Outcomes and key learnings
- Any challenges faced and recommendations
The report must be supported with:
- Relevant photographs of the programme (inauguration, sessions, participants, valedictory, etc.)
- Copy of the final programme schedule
- Attendance sheets
- Sample of participation certificate issued
- Any other relevant supporting documents as required by the Council
The descriptive report, along with all supporting documents, shall be submitted within 30 days of completion of the CNE programme, both in soft copy and hard copy, as follows:
